Play slots with crypto
Wanna play slots with crypto, but are new to the topic? No worries, I will explain in detail what you need to know before you head to a crypto casino and start spinning slots.
I assume that you already have some crypto and use a proper crypto wallet. Some commercial wallets I cannot recommend due to high transaction fees that will eat your bankroll before even playing a single spin. Self-custodial or cold wallets are a much better option. Fees are lower, and there is less KYC to worry about.

My recommendations on where to play slots with crypto
Of course, the final decision is yours, but there are some of the crypto slot sites I’ve personally tested and can recommend. After this section, I will also provide some tips on how to choose a crypto slot site, if you’re not sure about my recommendations.
Please note these recommendations are based on my experiences with the slot sites. I don’t bet large amounts of money myself and am therefore not usually asked to complete KYC or AML processes. If you’re a crypto highroller, at least additional AML processes might be required. Just something to worth keep in mind.
BC Game: Quick to get into action
The crypto slot site I’ve enjoyed the most is BC Game. They offer couple of fast registration options like Google and Telegram. Personally I like these options instead of filling any forms. Even if it would be just email and password like it is at BC Game.
They support a wide range of crypto currencies and its easy to swap currencies. So if you would like to deposit using BTC, but play on a stable currency, it’s easy. Deposits are free of charge.

When it comes to game selection, there is only one word to describe it. Impressive. There are thousands of slots to choose from, including some BC Game originals as well as known slot providers with popular slot games.
Available slot providers always depend on your physical location as well.
BC Game also supports its own cryptocurrency. All bonuses are paid in this currency on the account. You can easily swap it to another currency if you prefer to do so. There are several daily bonuses and free spins available at BC Game, so active players are always rewarded.
Withdrawals are processed pretty quickly. I got my withdrawal request accepted in just a couple of hours with no additional KYC. According to BC Game, it can take up to 6 hours to process the withdrawal request. Withdrawals aren’t free, but 1 USDT is not that much to pay in my opinion.
Bitstarz: Insane welcome offer
Out of all the crypto slot sites I’ve seen, Bitstarz offers the biggest bonus. You get a 100% match bonus up to 1 BTC and 180 free spins on your first deposit. In total, you can claim up to 5 BTC in bonus money on your first four deposits. The bonus wagering is decent as well. 40 times wagering on bonus money is better than average, I would say.
Quick registration is available via Google, which is currently the only available method for fast registration. Without the quick registration option, you don’t need to fill in too many details. An email address and password are enough.

The user interface is slightly inferior than on other crypto slot sites I’ve tried. You cannot really filter slots based on provider; only the search option is provided. There is a wide range of slots available, including Book of Ra, a popular slot from Novomatic.
On the plus side, you can play crypto slots no deposit to try, as Bitstarz has a no deposit offer.
Based on user feedback, the withdrawals are quick and easy. I did not manage to withdraw any funds from Bitstarz as I went after the casino bonus and could not complete the wagering before the funds ran out.
Stake: A well-known option
Stake is a well-known crypto slot site and offers quick registration options via Google, Kick and Facebook. User interface is similar to BC Game, and a wide range of crypto currencies is supported at Stake.

Game selection is good, and like the other two recommended crypto slot sites, Stake also has some of their original games in the lineup. Pragmatic Play and No Limit City are just a few known slot providers available in the slots section.
The drawback that I had with Stake was that after a short while I was asked to complete KYC process to continue playing on the site. Not a massive fan of these, since I typically play with relatively small stakes.
KYC is pretty straightforward to complete and won’t take much of your time. You just need to upload an ID or Drivers license and a proof of address (always better to upload vs sending via email). Once verification is complete, the account will be fully verified.
Choosing the crypto slot site

Check that your favourite slot providers are listed and head to the slot site? Nope, not that easy in the crypto world. Let me break it down: what you need to know about the availability of the slots and other good-to-know things before choosing a slot site that supports playing with crypto.
Available crypto slots
Generally, sites that allow you to play slots with crypto have a decent slot selection. Known providers like Pragmatic Play, NoLimit City and others are generally widely supported. What’s worth noting thought is your physical location.
While the slot site might have games from Play’n Go, they’re instantly removed from the selection if the game provider does not support your location. Crypto slot sites are typically pretty VPN friendly, so you can easily change your location to an allowed jurisdiction where the games are available.
Crypto currencies support
Ideally, you choose a crypto site that supports both deposits in your preferred cryptocurrency as well as playing with that same currency. The more swaps you have to do, the more you lose on transaction costs.
And while this may sound like a no-brainer, it is worth ensuring that you can play in crypto currency as well. Some times support crypto transfers, but gambling happens in fiat currency. This is obviously not great, as you will lose in the transaction fees again.
License and reputation
With a license, it’s worth checking that the crypto slot site has a valid license in place. While crypto sites typically operate from offshore jurisdictions like Anjouan and Curacao, there still needs to be some sort of license in place to ensure the games are authentic and fair. And don’t be too worried about the offshore jurisdictions; I’ll explain why it is generally better.
Crypto gamblers in general want less hassle (less KYC) and here offshore jurisdictions come in handy. They don’t require you to fill in complicated sign up forms and verify all the details before you can withdraw your winnings. Typically, you can skip the traditional registration process and use fast sign-up methods like Google, Telegram, MetaMask, etc.
When it comes to reputation check, forums and user feedback are worth looking. At Casino Professor, you can leave your own casino review on every casino we have listed. And we encourage you to do so as well.
Best Crypto Slots
Online slots are the most-played category at crypto casinos. Canadian players tend to stick to the same proven titles, and the five below all show up reliably on BC Game, Bitstarz and Stake. They also run smoothly on USDT, which is the easiest currency to gamble with since you simply set it as your play currency and the slot bets in that balance.
Quick comparison
| Slot | Provider | RTP | Volatility | Max Win |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gates of Olympus | Pragmatic Play | 96.5% | High | 5,000x |
| Sweet Bonanza | Pragmatic Play | 96.5% | Medium–High | 21,100x |
| Big Bass Bonanza | Pragmatic Play | 96.7% | Medium | 2,100x |
| Mental | Nolimit City | 96.06% | Insane | 66,666x |
| Tombstone R.I.P. | Nolimit City | 96.08% | Insane | 300,000x |
Gates of Olympus — Pragmatic Play
A Greek mythology slot and one of the most-played titles in the Canadian crypto scene. It drops traditional paylines for an “All Ways Pay” system, so any 8 or more matching symbols pay out wherever they land.
Wins are removed and new symbols tumble down to fill the gaps. This means a single spin can chain several payouts in a row.
The big money comes from the random multiplier orbs. They land during play and combine in the free spins round, building toward the 5,000x ceiling.
It plays in USDT or any other crypto your casino wallet holds. The studio just supplies the game, while BC Game, Bitstarz and Stake handle the currency.
Sweet Bonanza — Pragmatic Play
A candy-themed slot that uses the same “pay anywhere” idea. Eight or more matching symbols pay out anywhere on the 6×5 grid, then tumble away to let new ones fall.
Four or more scatters trigger free spins. Inside the round, multiplier bombs worth 2x up to 100x can land on a single tumble.
Volatility sits a notch below Gates of Olympus. That makes it a friendlier pick for players who want more frequent action with the same Pragmatic mechanics.
USDT works perfectly here too, as does BTC or ETH depending on what you deposit.
Big Bass Bonanza — Pragmatic Play
The most casual option of the five and a fixture in crypto lobbies. The fishing theme keeps things simple and the minimum bet is low, so it suits smaller bankrolls.
The free spins round is the main draw. You collect fish symbols while the fisherman wild reels them in for instant cash values.
Multipliers ramp up as you bank more wilds. Stack enough and the round can build into a solid payout without the brutal swings of higher-variance games.
Like the rest of the Pragmatic catalogue, it runs in whatever currency you load, with USDT being the smoothest choice.
Mental — Nolimit City
The slot that pushed Nolimit City into the mainstream. The asylum theme is dark, but the mechanics are the real reason players keep coming back.
xNudge wilds multiply up to 9x, and xWays symbols expand to reveal four matching symbols at once. Both stack inside the bonus to create huge swings.
Volatility is rated “Insane.” The game can run hundreds of spins without a real return before one bonus round changes everything, with a 66,666x ceiling.
This one is strictly for players comfortable with long dry spells. It plays in USDT or your preferred crypto on all three casinos.
Tombstone R.I.P. — Nolimit City
The most extreme slot on this list. Its 300,000x max win is the highest ceiling on any major slot available today.
It runs on an unconventional five-reel restricted-row grid. Regular spins can spike hard or turn completely punishing in an instant.
A brutal “xRIP” feature voids any win worth less than your base bet. The headline numbers really live in the bought or triggered bonus rounds.
This is a pure thrill-seeker title for larger bankrolls. As with every game here, you can set USDT as your playing currency and spin without worrying about the coin.
Commonly asked about playing slots with crypto
How do crypto slots work?
Crypto slots work exactly like regular online slots. You spin the reels, match symbols and trigger bonus features the same way.
The only difference is the money behind the scenes. Instead of fiat, your deposits, bets and withdrawals run on crypto currency like USDT or BTC.
Most sites let you swap your deposit into a stable currency for play. This keeps your bankroll steady while you spin.
What are crypto slots?
Crypto slots are simply online slot games that you fund and play using crypto currency. The games themselves come from the same providers you see at regular casinos, like Pragmatic Play and NoLimit City.
What makes them crypto slots is the payment side. You deposit in crypto, place your bets in crypto and withdraw your winnings in crypto.
Many crypto sites also have their own original slots on top of the provider games.
Can I play slots in crypto or only deposit with it?
This depends on the site and it is worth checking before you sign up. The ideal setup is one where you both deposit and play in crypto.
Some sites accept crypto transfers but the actual gambling happens in fiat currency. This is not great, as you lose money on the transaction fees when converting.
For the best experience, choose a site that supports both depositing and playing in your preferred currency.
Which crypto currency is best for playing slots?
USDt is the smoothest option for most players. It is a stable currency, so your bankroll does not swing with the market while you play.
You can still deposit using BTC or another coin if you prefer. Sites like BC Game make it easy to swap into a stable currency for play.
The main thing is to avoid unnecessary swaps. Every swap costs you in transaction fees.
Are all slot providers available at crypto casinos?
Not always, and this comes down to your physical location. Known providers like Pragmatic Play and NoLimit City are generally widely supported.
Some providers like Play’n GO are stricter with jurisdictions. Their games can be removed from the selection if the provider does not support your location.
Crypto slot sites are typically pretty VPN friendly. So you can change your location to an allowed jurisdiction where the games are available.
Do I need to complete KYC to play slots with crypto?
Often you can skip the traditional registration and use fast sign up methods like Google, Telegram or MetaMask. This is one of the main perks of offshore crypto sites.
That said, KYC can still come up. At Stake, for example, you may be asked to verify before you continue playing.
The process is straightforward. You upload an ID or driver’s license and a proof of address, and the account gets fully verified.
Is it safe to play at offshore crypto casinos?
It can be, as long as the site holds a valid license. Crypto slot sites typically operate from offshore jurisdictions like Anjouan and Curacao.
A license ensures the games are authentic and fair. So always check that one is in place before depositing.
Offshore jurisdictions are also handy for less hassle and less KYC. It is still worth checking forums and user feedback on reputation before you commit.
